All the neighbors came out and we witnessed the launch together from our cul de sac. Not a bad view after all and not a bad choice to stay home this time because the roads were jammed. What mattered was being in Central Florida and stepping outside!! It is a proud day for all those of Puerto Rican ancestry I thought, as I witnessed my neighbor Pablo going around telling all the neighbors, that Discovery had the first Puerto Rican-American astronaut. Another neighbor kidded, "There goes the neighborhood." We all laughed. Go Acaba and the rest of the crew!! It was a great launch! Go NASA!
