Letting it Go

Thankful for sunny days and

freshly mowed grass

My vivacious beagle

and freesbies

Chilled iced tea

with a breeze

Letting go of the past

like an old fluttering linen blouse with holes

like a bad sun tan that is peeling

like a heavy winter coat come summer

fling it out

peel it down

shake it off and

come sit under the shaded tree

and have a little tea

with me
