Freecycled Crepe Myrtles

About a year and a half ago, perhaps two, I read on my email that someone was offering two crepe myrtle plants. I jumped at the idea because I find them so pretty.  I assumed they would be able to tell me the color but the owners who were moving had had them in some pots and they had never bloomed.

Fast forward to 2013 and now let the truth be told.  When I saw those plants in those old plastic containers, I wondered if I had driven over there for nothing but look at them now. There are bunches of gentle pink almost lavander blossoms loading every branch.  Don't you think this was definitely worth the drive and work of hulling them home and then planting them?  I am so glad I did.
