I made a cool wordle on similes. Check it out!

Believing God

Believing God
Believing what He says about you
and what He says about Himself
is so important
He is the Light of the World
The King of Kings
The Prince of Peace
The Way
The Truth
The Life
Worthy to be Slain
The Holy One of Israel
Our Redeemer
Our Strong Tower
Our Hope
Our Deliverer
The Messiah
The Anointed One
The Cleft of the Rock
Yahweh Jirah
Our Provider
Yeshua Ha Mashiach
Our Righteousness
The Creator of the Ends of the Earth
that never sleeps nor grows weary
The Holy Spirit
Breath of God
The Mighty One of Israel
The Rewarder of them that Diligently
Seek Him
My Hope
The one who gives me peace
who forgives all my sins
who heals all of my diseases
who satisfies my desires with good things
so that my youth is renewed like the eagles
who sets me on a rock
who requires me to forgive
cast all my cares upon Him for
He cares for me
who says "Vengeance is mine!"
I will repay.
Who keeps my feet from falling,
my feet from slipping, and if I
should fall, he picks me up,
dusts me off.
God is good,
I can trust Him,
so I forgive,
give Him all my tears,
He bottles them,
He casts my sin in the ocean
and as far as the east is from the west,
He remembers them no more.
I am loved,
I am forgiven,
I am healed,
He calls me Beloved,
turtle dove,
apple of His eye

One single voice
the voice that counts
over ten thousands
the voice of Truth
the voice of God.
Nothing can separate me from
his love.

Steve Jobs leaves Apple as a Legacy

A staunch PC user for as long as I can remember, and never really being able to afford an Apple computer, I thought I would never have one. If you have ever considered buying one you know they are considerably more expensive than regular PC and now the super economical notebooks. When my Toshiba laptop which I had bought at rock bottom prices at a Walmart store started going bad, I relied on my techie daughter's help to get it fixed. That PC certainly was adequate for a time but when it failed me again and again and again, my daughters decided to replace my old Toshiba with ab Apple laptop. I was shocked. It was such an extravagant gift and one that propelled me into the 21 century.

Which takes me to Steve Jobs... he died today at the age of 55. It is a sad day indeed and he will be sorely missed. His brave batte with cancer made him even more admirable . There is so much more, but what makes him even more admirable was not his money but how he fought this terrible illness. May he rest in peace.

Pinterest: A fabulous website

Just discovered a fabulous website listening to one of my favorite Christian programs on Moody Radio called Midday Connection. One of the ladies on the program was talking about this recipe she had gotten on Pinterest and I thought, what is that? The recipe sounded fabulous so I googled Pinterest and found that their homepage had the most amazing pictures and ideas, especially for young families. Then I thought I would try to learn more and register. It was here that I was taken aback. You can join but only by invitation. I thought darn, I had just shown up at the door and was knocking basically to be allowed in, and I had no connections, but what the heck, what do I have to lose? So I submitted my request, and to my surprise, a little while later I got an email, saying I was invited.

It is a place where people share beautiful interesting things, such as art, photography, recipes, science, technology, short snippets, etc. I have just started looking around. I know I need to develop a page of things original and somethings that are borrowed and repinned, but I don't want to rush anything. I am going to look around, get ideas, and I will let you know how it goes.

Did you notice I said repinned? It is as if I am creating my own bulletin board online with links to other sites and other bulletin boards where I found neat ideas and each pictures serve as a link. So many are symbolic links to other sites or posts. It is a similar to a gallery walk, except you click on a picture and it takes you somewhere. It is all very visual which is excellent for those who are highly visual. I am enjoying it immensely.

Pinterest with a t not to be confused with pinderest which I thought was what the lady on Midday Connection was saying and now I know was my mistake.
