A Garden View

I planted some seeds in a little planter and they didn't take so I threw the seeds and all into the garden patch, and guess what started coming up? A squash! Today when I went outside I saw the unmistakeable flower which means a squash is on its way just underneath. Needless to say, I am very excited about it! I hope it grows and grows and grows and I can share and cook and store. It will be quite the treat. Yum.

Oh the other plants are pretty, too. The purple one is call the Roaming Jew here in Florida. The other we call verguenza in Puerto Rico (I don't know what it is called in English), which can basically mean dignity, honor, and shame, depending on the circumstances. No home should be without it!

I have a similar squash too, the Roaming Jew is a fast growing plant, it's a nice match with squash hanging on the back.
