Pike's Peak

Put this on my list of places I would like to visit.  Did you know that Pike's Peak was part of the inspiration for America the Beautiful, a beloved patriotic song.  It was first written as a poem and made combined with music years later.  It became immensely popular and remains so to this day.

About Pike's Peak, it was purchased in the Louisiana Purchase and name after it first explorer. See moe informaton  at:
