Have I been busy?

These are my latest bookmarks, and they are in my very humble opinion full of life and joy! I guess I am bursting with fun and joy that vacation time is here. If you look a these bookmarks/ mini artwork they are so full of surprises. I love them and hope you will, too. I put them up on ETSY. If you are interested you can find the link on the right margin of my blog.

Oh, a Lotus Flower

After all my crazy splashing paintings two years ago, one of the first things I painted was two purple lotus flowers. None of these can ever compare to the originals, but I like trying to capture the color and texture of these fascinating flowers. So here's another one.

And this is my third entry for the day, so I think that is enough for one day!

A Garden View

I planted some seeds in a little planter and they didn't take so I threw the seeds and all into the garden patch, and guess what started coming up? A squash! Today when I went outside I saw the unmistakeable flower which means a squash is on its way just underneath. Needless to say, I am very excited about it! I hope it grows and grows and grows and I can share and cook and store. It will be quite the treat. Yum.

Oh the other plants are pretty, too. The purple one is call the Roaming Jew here in Florida. The other we call verguenza in Puerto Rico (I don't know what it is called in English), which can basically mean dignity, honor, and shame, depending on the circumstances. No home should be without it!
