New on Etsy: My Big Bouquet

This is a painting I did last summer and feel maybe it is time that I give it wings and let it fly away. I just listed it on Etsy and you are welcome to look it over and please add my store to your favorites. I really do need people to visit my little shop. Hope you go visit.

A Hundred Year Old Photo, A Window into the Past

Well maybe around 90 something years old. Mom is 88 and it was before she was born, so it is at least 94 to 95 years old. Pictured are my grandparents Dona Tinita, looking so serious, and her husband Don Pepe, also quiet serious himself. My aunts and uncles, Sarita, Georgina, Pepito yAgustin?

Weather in Florida

It's going to rain, it's going to storm, and it is going to pour. I wish I had galoshes today. In fact, it will be April showers and do we need the rain. I just hope no tornadoes come, too. We have a tornado watch till 2:00 PM. Umm, I'll take my portable weather radio.

When I left the house, the bad weather was still lingering north and west of our area, but after an hour of being in school, when all the students were all safely in school, the sky darken ominously and the thunder started booming. Then the rain came pelting down, and one of those lightening bolts struck a transformer and we lost electricity in school. What was that for? The girls screamed and the boys hollered! Then the electric generators kicked in and then we got a little bit of light because it was so dark outside. The kids were jittery, but I managed to calm them down and just when I was going to read our novel out loud, the lights came on. So did the cheers! I was able to show them the radar from wesh.com and that the worst of the weather had passed and we all breathed a sign of relief. The bell rang and the kids left. When the next group of kids came in they were still jittery, so I let them contact their parents and they were both truly relieved.

Recently I went to the NASA website and was able to download these photographs picturing Joseph Acaba in space. I think it is really cool that he has Boricua written on his shirt. On the subsequent blog I will add some information from their website.

Sea World Sunrise Service

I did something bold and exhilarating this morning. I got up at 5:49 more or less, and the first thing that came to my mind was, Sunrise Service! What? Me go to the Sea World Sunrise Service? I must have heard wrong! I've never done that before and much more alone?. But precisely. Umm. Should I or shouldn't I? I can do this if you are in it Lord. So I put out a fleece and immediately I got the answer and I showered and got ready and left the house. Remember my garage door is broken and it was pitch black outside, but I ventured anyway. Then to go get gas at that time. Again everything went well, and then drive across town to SeaWorld. I didn't know the way... I basically followed the crowd and made it. The parking was filling up fast and once we started walking in you could hear the service begin. Prayers were being said and we could hear them as we walked. Then Big Daddy Weave performed their best worship music and the special speaker, a woman this year gave a lovely message of drawing close to God in a personal relationship. Imagine, seeing Jesus as alive as he is! Talking to him and living out our lives in a continual conversation and reality. It was genuine and personal. God bless her.

I am so glad I listened to the voice of God this morning and went out of my comfort zone and followed him. In a sense it was like Mary Magdalene and the other ladies, getting up at dawn to go serve the Lord. How were they going to anoint him with that huge rock in the way? But they went anyway, while it was pitch black, and he rewarded them for their love. God rewarded me, too, with renewed confidence and the reality that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

Happy Resurrection Day!

The Lord is Risen! He is risen, indeed! Jesus lives and reigns.

"The Spirit and the bride(the church) say "Come! And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever who is thirsty, let him come, and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life...
He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon."
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22: 17, 21
