Golden Pumpkin Seeds

I bought the best calabaza the other day in Publix and its seeds are worth more than gold. That is if they produce the same delicious vegetable that birthed them. This particular calabaza or squash was tasty, thick but not fibrous; delicious with butter, olive oil, or in pink beans. It has never given me more pleasure than to share these seeds with others, hoping they will propagate and bring in a plentiful harvest. So here's to a bumper crop of squash. If the calabaza is as strong as its polka dotted leaves, the vegetables will come out just fine.

Nature Walk in my Backyard

A fritillary butterfly, fine by me. Oleandar pink tanning in Florida sun,

pink and yellow Lantana beaming with color, and a promise of peppers waiting to grow. All in a short stroll of my backyard.
