I bought the best calabaza the other day in Publix and its seeds are worth more than gold. That is if they produce the same delicious vegetable that birthed them. This particular calabaza or squash was tasty, thick but not fibrous; delicious with butter, olive oil, or in pink beans. It has never given me more pleasure than to share these seeds with others, hoping they will propagate and bring in a plentiful harvest. So here's to a bumper crop of squash. If the calabaza is as strong as its polka dotted leaves, the vegetables will come out just fine.

It's an elegant city with some tree lined streets and still in growth, which as large as it already is, seems amazing. Yet in this city of growth there are glimpses of the past which shine with distinction. Enjoy.
