Praire Flowers

These flowers of the day are prairie flowers taken off a road between Brooks and Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. It wasn't until I saw the picture on my laptop, that I realized that perhaps there had been more than a simple bunch of flowers in that picture. Notice a gray slithery thing on the right hand corner. A snake?

Lantana and Daisies

This picture was taken in Mt. Dora near the pier. Aren't they lovely?

Flower of the Day: Miss Z

Just love this picture of my granddaughter! Makes me laugh to remember seeing her do that! It must be wonderful to have her around all day long... I do know she gets fussy, but we can put up with that. Love you Z.

Rediscovering Geraniums

Can you believe this geranium was on clearance at Lowe's because it had a slight burn from recent cold weather? I couldn't be happier! It had been long time since I had geraniums in my garden and these two with their velvet leaves and fushia flowers are a real treat.

Sunflowers: Flower of the Day

Sunflowers taken on St. Johns Island, South Carolina. Tall, short, folded, unfolding, fully developed, just starting out. What a crowd of sunflowers, as jocund as the daffodils on the bay. They warm you up for many of a day just by looking at them!
