Around the Garden

Checking on my flowers and veggies growing in my garden. The bean had flowers yesterday which quickly closed by noon, so today I knew I had to snap a shot early or lose the opportunity. So I did. An insect has gotten on the leaves and carved a strange design, but I like it. The tomatoes are thriving, as well as the verbena. I love the verbena with its rich purple which the camera doesn't really capture, but I will have to play with it to adjust the light. On my morning stroll I came upon a feisty dragon fly which refused to stop and pose. So I caught him as well as I could in mid air.

Later I had a very surprising encounter with a butterfly. See next entry.
